Property news update:

On 26 May 2014, the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, launched the London Rental Standard (LRS). This is designed to raise professional standards in the capital’s private rented sector by providing a consistent benchmark of a set of minimum standards that the Mayor expects from landlords, managing agents and letting agents.

The Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA) has been appointed by the Mayor as one of the accrediting bodies for LRS. This will help to maintain the highest professional standards in the sector and further regulate lettings agents. One of the main aims of LRS is to help identify and eliminate the small minority of rogue landlords and agents who neglect their responsibilities and bring our industry into disrepute.

We are therefore proud to be a part of this scheme, as it recognises our hard work and genuine interest in achieving the best for our clients and tenants. The accreditation means our clients and tenants can enjoy peace of mind that we are complying with the law and offering the best possible service.
